Cheryl Tweedy splits from singer boyfriend

Liam Payne and Cheryl Tweedy, the singers, have announced they are to split up after a two-year relationship.

The couple made their decision to part two weeks ago, with reports that the break-up was amicable with “no third parties involved”.

In a statement posted on social media, they said: “We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. Bear [the couple’s baby son] is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this.”
