Lethal Weapon (1987)

 Richard Donner’s action movie stars Danny Glover as a policeman who’s on the verge of retirement and is partnered with a loose-cannon cop (Mel Gibson) to find a gang of drug smugglers. The pair begin the film with a mutual suspicion that predictably dissipates as they bond. Chaotic, cheesy, violent, and quite brilliant. Gibson’s Beretta 92F pistol became Hollywood’s gun of choice, appearing in over 500 films.
