PALACE OF HOLYROODHO­USE July 2nd The Queen arrived at Edinburgh Airport this afternoon.

The Queen drove to the Palace of Holyroodho­use and was received in the Forecourt by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost) and members of the City of Edinburgh Council, when the Rt Hon the Lord Provost surrendere­d to The Queen the Keys of the City, which Her Majesty returned to him.

A Guard of Honour found by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlander­s, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, under the command of Major Jonathan Thompson, was mounted in the Forecourt.

Afterwards Her Majesty was received inside the Palace by the Hereditary Keeper (the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon).

The Queen was represente­d by the Lord Janvrin (Permanent Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty) at the Funeral of Brigadier Sir Miles Hunt-davis (Extra Equerry to The Duke of Edinburgh and formerly Private Secretary and Treasurer to His Royal Highness) which was held in the Minster Church of St Denys, Warminster, Wiltshire, this afternoon.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represente­d by Lieutenant General Peter Pearson.

The Prince of Wales was represente­d by Sir Stephen Lamport.

The Duke of York was represente­d by Vice Admiral Sir Tom Blackburn.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex were represente­d by Brigadier John Smedley.

The Princess Royal was represente­d by Captain Nicholas Wright, RN.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represente­d by Lieutenant Colonel Alastair Todd.

The Duke of Kent was represente­d by Mr Andrew Palmer.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represente­d by Major General Sir Simon Cooper. CLARENCE HOUSE July 2nd The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Second Severn Crossing and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Gwent (Brigadier Robert Aitken).

Their Royal Highnesses subsequent­ly attended a Reception at the Celtic Manor Resort, Coldra Woods, the Usk Valley, Newport.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Reception for Gwent Associatio­n of Voluntary Organisati­ons.

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited the National Museum Cardiff, Cathays Park, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs Morfudd Meredith). BUCKINGHAM PALACE July 2nd The Duke of York, Vice Admiral, this morning unveiled a statue of Captain Eric “Winkle” Brown at Edinburgh Airport and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

His Royal Highness, Founder, Pitch@palace, later opened the Edinburgh Business School Incubator at Heriot-watt University, Edinburgh.

The Duke of York, Founder, Pitch@palace, this afternoon attended Pitch@palace on Tour Edinburgh for entreprene­urs and supporters at the James Watt Centre, Heriot-watt University. BUCKINGHAM PALACE July 2nd The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, this morning visited Falkland Palace Real Tennis Club, Falkland Palace, Falkland, near Cupar, as part of His Royal Highness’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Fife (Mr Robert Balfour).
