‘Nick’ and the police

SIR – Now that “Nick” is to be prosecuted (report, July 4) – if he is found guilty – will the senior police officer who described his allegations as “credible and true” (despite, for example, those against Lord Bramall being impossible, as a few minutes’ checking the Field Marshal’s diary would have shown) be prosecuted for misconduct in a public office?
