Occult claim disputed in ‘house of horrors’ deaths

The deaths of 11 members of an Indian family, who were found blindfolded and hanged in a Delhi house last Sunday, continue to puzzle detectives.

Police are working on the theory that the family in the “Delhi house of horrors”, as Indian media have called it, took part in a ritualistic suicide pact.

However, neighbours doubt their involvement in occult practices and point to the fact that one of the women was soon to be married as a counter to the suicide idea. Their theory is that it was a mass murder, staged as a suicide.
