Three Lions tops chart 22 years after its release

Football anthem Three Lions has hit number one on the Official Vodafone Big Top 40 chart.

The track, by Frank Skinner and David Baddiel with The Lightning Seeds, knocked last week’s charttopper Solo by Clean Bandit off the top.

The number one comes 22 years after it was released for the European Championships. Three Lions climbed 32 places in the chart, which is separate from the Official Charts Company.
