Ruben Loftus-cheek

Adi Viveash, his assistant manager at Coventry City

-

Ruben came on loan to us from Chelsea. He was always technically gifted, as well as having that powerful frame. Like a lot of teenagers, he went through physical problems with growth spurts and he did have to learn how to handle his body.

When he was 17, there were concerns over whether he would be able to get through 90 minutes. But because he had those periods out of the game, he did a lot of work on analysis.

He watched Frank Lampard and there was a lot of work done to try to stimulate his brain, which is definitely elite in football terms.
