Stones is living the dream

John Stones, the England defender who has scored more World Cup goals than Wayne Rooney, is in dreamland. When asked how his first World Cup was going, he said: “It’s gone so quick, and you don’t realise what’s happening back home and what stage we’re at, to be honest. To get to a semi-final is something I’ve never dreamed of.” Stones (below) paused and then added: “Tell a lie, I have dreamed about it. I have dreamed but never thought I would get the chance to play in a World Cup or even play for England.” Let us hope he starts dreaming about the final, too.
