Parliament homeless man was a paedophile
A homeless man whose death was mourned by Jeremy Corbyn was a paedophile who died of a drug overdose, an inquest heard yesterday.
Marcos Amaral Gourgel, 35, a rough sleeper , was found dead on Valentine’s Day. His death prompted Mr Corbyn to leave a wreath, noting: “As a country we must stop walking by.”
The inquest in London was told the Portuguese national was deported in 2014 after being convicted of sexually abusing a child. He was deported again in 2016 when he returned illegally.
Spice, synthetic cannabis, was found in his body after his death. Shirley Radcliffe, assistant coroner, recorded a verdict of death by misuse of drugs.
