Happy Poldark horse
SIR – I may be able to set Geoff West’s mind at rest (Letters, July 14) about the workload of Ross Poldark’s horse.
Having, like Poldark, ridden a young horse to London from Exmoor, I can confirm that he was never happier, healthier or more settled in his life than at the end of that 250-mile trip.
Plenty of hard work, good food and genuine kindness will answer for a horse, and perhaps for us too. Rob Williams
