Laptop could hold clues to Poppi death in 2012
A laptop computer owned by Poppi Worthington’s father, which could help “solve the mystery” of her death, has been discovered by police.
The breakthrough comes almost six years after Poppi suffocated while on her father Paul’s bed. A coroner ruled that she had been sexually assaulted by him before she died.
Mr Worthington is understood to have passed the laptop to Wayne Roebuck, a neighbour in Barrow-infurness, Cumbria, after his daughter’s death. Police failed to seize the computer in December 2012 despite Poppi’s father, 39, admitting he watched “X-rated” pornography on it.
