Victoria Beckham to sell copies of royal wedding outfit
VICTORIA BECKHAM is to sell copies of the dress she wore to the royal wedding as part of a limited-edition collection.
The slash-sleeved, buckledneck midi-dress, which Beckham wore to the May 19 wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, paired with scarlet suede Manolo Blahnik shoes, was originally created as a bespoke dress.
But following her appearance at the event, which was broadcast to 29 million people worldwide, Beckham’s brand reportedly received a considerable number of inquiries from fans who wanted to buy copies.
So Beckham started a waiting list and has fast-tracked production schedules to offer clients the opportunity to purchase it as quickly as possible. Priced at £1,495, the navy version of Victoria’s dress will be available to buy on the brand’s website and at its flagship store on Dover Street, London, from July 20.
The move comes weeks after Stella Mccartney, who designed the Duchess of Sussex’s evening dress, sold 23 white and 23 black versions of the gown to carefully vetted clients, in celebration of the opening of her new store on Old Bond Street in London.
