Leader: Sergio Garcia Winner: Padraig Harrington

Another collapse, this time by Sergio Garcia (above), although not quite as epic as Van de Velde’s. The Spaniard was three up on secondplaced Steve Stricker and six to the good of Padraig Harrington on the final day but still ended up in a play-off with the Irishman after his 12-foot putt on the final green lipped out. Harrington duly won.
