Motorcycle thief jailed after 189mph stunt ride

A 26-year-old biker has been jailed after he filmed himself travelling at almost 200mph – believed to be the highest speed ever clocked by a motorcycle on British roads.

Adam Campion hurtled along roads pulling dangerous wheelies and weaving in and out of traffic. Mobile phone clips showed him driving on the wrong side of the road and filming himself driving one-handed at 189mph on a stolen motorbike.

Police discovered the footage when they searched Campion’s address in Hucknall, Notts, and recovered his laptop in September 2016.

Campion was jailed for 21 months at Nottingham Crown Court.
