Investor revolt hits Mothercare

Just under a fifth of shareholders at Mothercare voted against the retailer’s pay report, after a tough couple of months for the company which have seen it lay out plans to close up to 60 of its 137 UK stores amid a downturn on the high street. Around 11pc also voted against the reappointment of interim chairman Clive Whiley.
