Britain’s anti-semitism

SIR – I have just read Mandy Blumenthal’s article (“Anti-semitism is forcing us to leave”, Features, July 21).

It is the saddest article I have read in a long while. I am not Jewish. What has become of tolerance and respect in this country?

SIR – I was shocked by Mandy Blumenthal’s description of the growing anti-semitism in London.

I have settled in Australia but spent happy years in London up to the end of the Eighties. I don’t recall any anti-semitism. On the contrary, Jewish people were highly respected. I don’t understand how this monster has come crawling back.
