KPMG hires first chief risk officer

KPMG has hired Mary O’connor as its chief risk officer, a new role created in the wake of recent accounting scandals. KPMG, which had been auditor for Carillion before its collapse, said she would “oversee the firm’s risk management framework”, as significant change in the sector means the risks it faces “are evolving”.
