Hays chairman Thomson dies

The chairman of FTSE 250 recruitment firm Hays, Alan Thomson, has died after the “rapid deterioration of a medical condition”. He had been chairman since November 2010. Hays said its senior independent director Andrew Martin will act as non-executive chairman on an interim basis, pending a permanent replacement.
