Why going to church is becoming really cool

-

Churches are selling themselves as an easy way to keep cool in the heat.

Canterbury Cathedral has been inviting people to drop in and eat their lunch away from the sun.

“It’s always cool in our cloister,” said a spokesman. Both Canterbury and York cathedrals have put messages out on social media to say their sanctuaries are among the “coolest places in the city”. Durham cathedral and All Saints Church, Kettering, have also invited people indoors, a policy that has been endorsed by the Church of England.
