Toronto police deny Isil link to killer gunman
Canadian police denied claims yesterday that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) was responsible for Sunday’s shooting in Toronto that killed two females – Julianna Kozis, 10, and Reese Fallon, 18, an aspiring nurse – and wounded 13.
Faisal Hussain, 29, the gunman, who was found dead shortly after, was a “soldier” for Isil, the group said, but police said there was no evidence to support a terrorism link and they were investigating his mental health issues.
