Girl is killed in quad bike accident on farm

A 10-year-old girl has died after being thrown from a quad bike on farmland.

Lily Mccormick, from Liskeard, Cornwall, suffered fatal injuries after being thrown from a Gator Utility Vehicle that overturned in Looe, Cornwall, on Sunday evening.

Devon and Cornwall Police said Lily was a passenger on the vehicle. She was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The male rider of the quad bike was treated for minor injuries.
