Revved up for record

This 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, one of just 36 made, is the most expensive car ever auctioned, valued at $45-$60million (£34-45million). It goes on sale at RM Sotheby’s in Monterey, California, on Aug 25. The record currently stands at $38million – for another Ferrari 250 GTO, naturally.
