Newsnight has apologised for showing footage of Wasim Akram, the former Pakistan fast-bowler, instead of Imran Khan, his team-mate in the nation’s 1992 World Cupwinning side.

In an on-air apology, presenter Evan Davis said: “The footage we showed was of the cricketer Wasim Akram, not Imran Khan.
