ECB pledges to keep rates low

The euro fell and stocks extended gains after Mario Draghi, the European Central Bank’s head, repeated a commitment to keep interest rates low “through” next summer, even though he saw inflation picking up by the end of the year. Speaking after the ECB, as expected, kept rates on hold, he cautioned it was “too early to call victory” on inflation.
