Richards leaves M&G for top job at Fidelity
CITY veteran and former nuclear physicist Anne Richards has quit M&G Investments for the top job at Fidelity International amid a series of management changes.
One of the most powerful women in the City, Ms Richards was in charge of investing £290bn for Aberdeen Asset Management before she was hired to run Prudential’s investment arm M&G two years ago.
She will leave her role next month and become chief executive of Fidelity International, which manages about £231bn of assets, from December.
Her move comes amid a period of huge change for FTSE 100 insurer Prudential, which last year merged the investment arm Ms Richards runs with its European insurance unit to create M&G Prudential.
Ms Richards replaces Brian Conroy who left his role this year.
