Paul Waddington, 61, an amateur photographer, captured this image of the Milky Way behind an old watch tower. Mr Waddington took the shot on Roa Island, near Barrow-in-furness, Cumbria. “I am proud of where I come from and wanted to capture the beauty of the area,” he said.
