Fall in rate of EU unemployment

Eurozone unemployment in June was at the lowest level since December 2008, with rates between northern and southern Europe continuing to close. The euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.3pc in June, Eurostat said. Countries with high unemployment were among those where rates fell fastest.
