Japan lowers inflation forecast

Japan has “deeply entrenched” deflationary attitudes, which have contributed to the 2pc inflation target being put aside for the time being, the Bank of Japan said. Revising down CPI forecasts, the bank said inflation “shows relatively weak developments compared to the economic expansion”.
