Stanchart: trade fears hit spend

Fears of a Us-china trade war have already hit cross-border investment, the head of emerging markets lender Standard Chartered warned. Bill Winters, chief executive, said president Donald Trump’s rhetoric around tariffs had led to “a gentle but noticeable slowdown” in business spending on big-ticket items overseas.
