Murder arrest after ‘road rage attack’

♦ A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a father-oftwo died following a suspected road rage clash.

Stephen Walsh, 37, was attacked around 10.30pm on Sunday, shortly after his Lexus had crashed into a gold-coloured estate car in Mapperley, Nottingham.

He is believed to have driven from the scene to his house 100 yards away, with the other motorist following him and then assaulting him on his doorstep.

Mr Walsh was found dead around 5.55am the next day, having suffered serious head injuries.

Nottinghamshire Police said a 21-year-old suspect had been taken into custody yesterday and was being questioned on suspicion of murder.
