Manufacturing growth slows

A survey measuring the health of manufacturing businesses has fallen to its lowest level in three months, but is still above the long-run average, according to new figures. The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), a measure of business confidence, was 54.0 in July, a decline from 54.4 in June.
