Watchdog warns on EU rule effect

The City watchdog said it will closely monitor firms selling complex and high-leveraged products to retail clients, amid concern new EU rules will see a spike in alternative products to contracts for difference (Cfds). The EU measures limit the sale of Cfds, which allow people to speculate on price movements.
