Scrubs up nicely

A cleaner mops the ornate Minton floor at St George’s Hall in Liverpool. The tiles, featuring sea nymphs, dolphins and tritons, were covered in 1860 as part of efforts to protect the floor, but will be unveiled to guests this weekend during a rare reveal.
