Intertek snaps up US software company

Intertek has bought the US software company Alchemy for $480m (£369m) as it looks to expand its services to businesses across America. Alchemy helps companies monitor their workforces, particularly in the food industry, so they can make improvements in customer service and operational efficiencies.
