Russia repatriates murdered journalists
The bodies of three Russian journalists killed in the Central African Republic have been brought back to Moscow to undergo forensic examination.
Svetlana Petrenko, a spokesman for Russia’s Investigative Committee, said yesterday the bodies had been handed to experts and would be examined “with the goal of establishing the cause of death”.
The journalists were ambushed and killed outside the town of Sibut. They had been investigating a Russian private security firm in the country and Russian ties to the mining industry.
