Mallett fans in stolen bike hunt

♦ Fans have mobilised to help Timmy Mallett, who posted on social media that he was “heartbroken” after his bike, on which he recently cycled 2,000 miles across Europe in memory of his dead brother, was stolen from a pub car park while the 62-year-old was drinking with friends in Cookham, Berkshire.

Thames Valley Police tweeted that “we are on the case”, and hundreds of fans of the children’s TV personality have retweeted his appeal for help.
