Man used tracker to stalk ex-lover in lesbian affair

-

A MAN used a car tracker he bought off ebay to follow his ex-girlfriend, only to find she was having a relationship with another woman, a court heard.

David Jones, 37, a construction site manager, suspected that Stacey Buckley may have found new love after they broke up, so he hid the device in the boot of her vehicle to track her.

The jealous father-of-two saw Ms Buckley holding hands with Laura Flynn, her sister’s ex-girlfriend, in a café at the Trafford Centre retail park in Stretford, after she said she was on a shopping trip in Bury, a court heard.

Ms Buckley found out about the device when Jones sent a picture of the tracker after repeatedly showing up in the same place as her and exclaiming: “I’ll find you wherever you are.”

Ms Buckley searched her car and found the small black tracker.

At Manchester magistrates’ court, Jones, from Rochdale, Lancs, was found guilty of stalking and a separate charge of assaulting Ms Buckley following a confrontation at her home.

Jones told the hearing: “I knew something was wrong, I just wanted the truth.” He will be sentenced later this month.
