IHG bats off London hotel hit

Holiday Inn owner Interconti­nental Hotels saw revenue grow 7.6pc to $2.1bn (£1.6bn) in the first half of 2018, led by a strong performanc­e in China where revenue per room grew more than 10pc. The rise came despite a slump in London from 2017 when a weaker pound meant that tourists flocked to the city, pushing room prices up.
