Harry Kane, the England football captain, has announced the birth of his second child, Vivienne Jane, with his fiancée Kate Goodland. Kane, 25, who won the Golden Boot as top scorer at the 2018 World Cup, wrote on Twitter that Ms Goodland used “hypnobirthing” to have “the most amazing water birth with no pain at all”. Advocates of the method say it uses breathing, visualisation and positive thinking techniques to remove the need for pain relief, but the NHS says the benefits are unproven. The baby is a sister to Ivy Jane, 19 months.
