Graduate killed in hit and run accident

-

♦ A young graduate killed in a hit-and-run accident outside a south London Tube station has been described as “beautiful” and “talented” by her devastated family.

Yolanda Moore, 22, was struck by a car as she crossed the road near Stockwell station.

The King’s College graduate, who was walking home following a night out with her boyfriend, was declared dead at the scene.

Police are hunting the driver of the Mercedes C-class, who failed to stop. The car was found abandoned nearby. Ms Moore’s father, Wayne Moore, a former operations director of yacht company Sunseeker International, said: “Our only child was beautiful, talented, kind and truly amazing in every way.

“We are devastated beyond belief, as are so many others. She brought joy to everyone she touched.”

No arrests have yet been made. Scotland Yard have urged the driver to hand themselves in and are appealing for witnesses.
