Pagegroup profit up despite UK hit

Recruiter Pagegroup posted an 18pc rise in pre-tax profits for the first half of 2018 despite challenges “including Brexit in the UK, trading in Catalonia and forthcoming elections in Latin America”. Revenue in the UK slipped 3.5pc year on year. As a whole though, revenue was up 11.7pc, thanks to solid demand in Asia.
