Drax pilots carbon capture technology

-

FTSE 250-listed energy giant Drax is piloting technology that could help prevent another carbon dioxide shortage hitting the UK. Last month, pub landlords were forced to restrict sales of some drinks for fear of running dry, as CO2 supply dwindled. Drax said it would run a six-month trial to capture CO2 emissions from one of its biomass units, and expects that, over the course of the trial, it would produce enough CO2 to provide fizz to 32,000 pints of beer per day.
