Scooter rider, 64, dies after ambulance crash
A man riding a mobility scooter has died after colliding with an ambulance.
The 64-year-old man was injured at a junction in Abingdon, Oxon, on Friday and died on Saturday evening.
South Central Ambulance Service passed on its “sincere condolences” to his family. Police have called for a man driving a blue Vauxhall Vivaro panel van and a woman with blonde hair who was a passenger to contact them.
A spokesman said: “Both of these vehicles were overtaken by the ambulance prior to the collision and both vehicles stopped to provide assistance to the injured man.”
