Munich murderers
SIR – In the summer of 1972 as a fencer competing at the Munich Olympic Games, I witnessed the unfolding tragedy of 11 innocent Israeli athletes being murdered by the cowardly Black September group, effectively blowing out all that was meant by the Olympic flame.
I could not have imagined that 46 years later photographs would appear in the press of a potential prime minister of Great Britain holding a wreath during a memorial for Palestinian “martyrs” only yards from the graves of three of those callous murderers. Edward Hudson
