Mission: Impossible III (2006)

 Lost creator JJ Abrams made his first foray into feature film-making with this, the third instalment of a largely mediocre franchise. Starring the indefatigable Tom Cruise, still doing all of his impressive stunts, as special agent Ethan Hunt called out of retirement to track down a ruthless arms dealer (Philip Seymour Hoffman), this convoluted sequel can’t hold a candle to the more sophisticated Bourne trilogy.
