Police arrest Romanian ‘crime boss’ in Watford
One of Europe’s most wanted men was arrested in Britain as he left a gym in Watford this week.
Florin Ghinea, who is said to be the head of an international crime gang, was held in the Hertfordshire town by armed officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) on Tuesday.
NCA deputy director, Tom Dowdall, said the 43-year-old was accused of some “extremely serious offences”, including human trafficking and murder in his native Romania.
Ghinea appeared yesterday at Westminster Magistrates’ Court facing extradition. He will be brought before the same court on 25 Sept.
