Cricketer Swann latest to join the Strictly crew

Former England cricketer Graeme Swann was last night unveiled as the sixth contestant for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. The former spin bowler, 39, follows a long line of cricketers on to the show, including Darren Gough, Mark Ramprakash and Phil Tufnell.

“I’m hoping to follow in the footsteps of the cricketers who have come before me who have either won the thing or had an absolute ball,” he said. Swann joins TV presenter Katie Piper, singer Faye Tozer, actor Danny John-jules, Youtube star Joe Sugg and DJ Vick Hope.
