What to do with awkward family heirlooms

-

SIR – Susan Mcfadzean (Letters, August 14) is not sure what to do with her late mother-in-law’s collection of furs, or her mother’s stuffed owl.

To the pile I would like to add my late mother’s furs, plus the most beautiful elephant tusks – imported legally in about 1943. Elayne M Benjamin

London NW4 SIR – Your correspondent asks what to do with a number of animal skin items. In less than three months, it will be Bonfire Night. I suggest this offers an ideal solution. Peter Maasz

Steyning, West Sussex

SIR – Can I have the stuffed owl, please?

Mine is rather lonely on its own. Andrew D Gaisford

Fareham, Hampshire
