Mother outwits her son’s car thieves
♦a mother chased and caught thieves who stole her son’s car after he put it up for sale online.
Maria Carroll, 64, from Bournemouth, tracked down two men who had made off in the Ford Ka before ramming the car and cornering the duo in a supermarket car park.
John-jordan Pogliaghi had been selling his car on the Gumtree website when the pair, purporting to be brothers, came to look at it and sped off without completing the sale.
Ms Carroll drove round looking for them and tracked them down before phoning her son to say: “I’ve got them, I’ve rammed them and cornered them.” The chase came to an end when the thieves drove into the car park.
“I grabbed the key, told him the police were on the way – with that they just ran off,” said Ms Carroll.
