Chemring wins US defence deal

Weapons maker Chemring has won a $93m (£73m) contract with the US defence department, to refurbish its vehicles which detect mines. Chemring said the systems will be “effective against the most challenging targets”, with work to be carried out in Virginia. Shares in the company rose by 0.4pc on the news.
